Two members of the Swedish pop sensation Abba have settled a long running dispute over credits for one of their musicals.
Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson believed credit for the musical Kristina from Duvemala should go to the plays director Lars Rudolfsson, but Carl-Johan Seth, the author of the screenplay claimed he was due the credits instead.
No settlement details have been issued, however Seth’s lawyer has said that the credits would be made clearer at the next show.
However, Andersson told a Swedish news team that Rudolfsson and Jan Mark were recognised as sole authors under the new terms of the settlement.
The musical is based on the work of Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg. It traces the epic story of a 19th Century Swedish family who emigrate to America.
It was first released in Malmo, Sweden in 1995. However the three disagreed over who would receive credit for the story before it was due to open in Stockholm a few years later.
In 2007 a court ruled in favour of the two ex Abba members, but Seth appealed.
The court has now withdrawn an appeal, two days before the case was to be heard in the Court of Appeal.
Seth’s lawyer stated that his client was satisfied with the settlement.

Camilla and Prince Charles were away on a tour of the Carribbean when they heard of Sergent Richard Fuller’s suicide.
It is thought that he used a privately owned shotgun, rather than a police weapon. He was found in his Wiltshire home yesterday morning.
He was in charge of security at Camilla’s six bedroom country home, which she brought for £850,000 in 1996 after she divorced her husband Andrew Parker-Bowles. The house was used for her daughters wedding reception two years ago.
Sgt Fuller had served 29 years with Wiltshire police and was chief firearms instructor at their headquarters in Devizes.
In 1995 he received a crown court commendation after he arrested an armed man, who was threatening a colleague. He was awarded a long service and good conduct medal in 2001.
