A desk and chair, once owned by Charles Dickens are being sold at a charity auction in London.
The furniture worth an estimated £80,000 is thought to have been used by the writer whilst writing his novel, Great Expectations at his Gad’s Hill Place home in Higham, Kent.
Proceeds from the auction are being donated to Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital in central London.
Christopher Charles Dickens, who died in 1999 and his wife Jeanne-Marie Countess Wenckheim inherited the desk and chair. The countess gave the hospital permission to sell the items to raise funds for building work and new equipment.

Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate attended the launch for the shows fourth series in central London.
When asked about their future in the program, neither star commented beyond the three specials scheduled for 2009.
The shows executive producer and chief writer Russell T Davies has expressed that he would like to continue working with Tennant, “I want David to stay on forever”.
In the first of two episodes screened at last nights launch the Doctor was see being reunited with Donna Noble (Tate’s character) from the 2006 Christmas special ‘The Runaway Bride’.
The second saw the pair in a computer generated sequence being transported to ancient Pompeii on the eve of Mount Vesuvius’ eruption.
The actors were joined by several cast members from series four including, Peter Capaldi, Tim McInnerny, Jo Whiley, Elisabeth Sladen and Simon Pegg.
Rumors have been rife over who will play the Doctor’s nemesis should he return to the show. Stars such as David Bowie and Sir Ben Kingsley have been just two of the names mentioned.

Hollywood A-listers were blasted with lime green slime at the 21st Annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.
Irish band U2 have just announced that they have signed a 12 year deal with concert promoter Live Nation to handle the band’s merchandising and branding rights.
The deal follows on from the contract Madonna signed with the company last year, following on from her ground breaking tour.
U2 will still carry on making music with their current record label, Universal Records.
Financial details of the tour have not been disclosed, however it was reported that Madonna’s deal with Live Nation was worth $120m (£60m) over a ten year period.
In recent years CD sales across the globe have declined, recording artists are increasingly signing ‘360 degree deals’, which combine their recording, publishing and touring revenues.

Stars including Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz and Orlando Bloom were all drenched in the green goo, a tradition of the awards ceremony.
The nights winners included Johnny Depp who was named best actor and Cameron Diaz who won best actress.
Other winners on the night included Eddie Murphy who picked up favourite voice from an animated movie for Shrek The Third. American Idol won best reality show and the Jonas Brothers went home with the award for favourite music group.
My Name Is Earl star, Jason Lee took home one of the orange blimp trophies for Alvin and the Chipmunks, which won best movie.
The show concluded with the awards host Jack Black and Orlando Bloom sitting in chairs high above the audience being drenched with what Black claimed was "27 million gallons" of green slime.
