An eleven page, 8.5x11", American Institute of Architects letterhead, dated October 15, 1971. An agreement in which Brando engages architect Bernard Judge to assist in the construction of a runway and support facilities on Brando's private atoll, Tetiaroa, in French Polynesia, for a fee of $30,000. The agreement spells out the details of the project, including construction, equipment access, meteorological data, water runoff, and the removal of mosquito breeding grounds. Brando has signed in blue ballpoint on the last page; he has also, along with Judge, initialed the document seventeen times throughout. In fine condition, with expectant staples and holes for filing, notations in another hand on the reverse of the last page. A fascinating detailed document.
