Winston Churchill was one of Britain's greatest leaders and is synonymous with British victory in World War II. He was elected as British Prime Minister for a second time in 1951 and remained in power until his resignation in 1955. We have a signed typed letter from Churchill to Nigel Patrickson, thanking him for his birthday wishes. Single sheet (written on one side), 10 Downing Street letterhead, 18 December 1954, accompanied by the original envelope and presented in original mount. Boldly signed in black ink "Winston Churchill". The letter measures (including mount) 366 x 178 mm and is unframed. The letter is in good overall condition with a central crease and some darkened areas to the edges. The letter and envelope were selotaped to the mount which has caused some deterioration to the paper.
