One of Britain's greatest leaders and is synonymous with British victory in World War II. After his resignation in 1955, Churchill began to draw back from front-line politics. Mr Patrickson was a framer and worked with Churchill on restoring and reframing several works of art. Typed signed letter from Churchill to Mr. Patrickson thanking him for his gift and organising his art studio. Single sheet (written on 1 side), 28 Hyde Park Gate letterhead, 31st December 1955. Boldly signed in black ink "Yours sincerely Winston Churchill". The letter measures 202 x 126 mm and is unframed. The letter has a central fold which has created a minor tear and has a small stain on the left side of the letter, otherwise in good condition. Accompanied by secretarial letters between Mr Patrickson and Jane Welby.
