BONAPARTE, NAPOLEON

A fantastic item of personal memorabilia, a deep red sash, apparently belonging to Napoleon, measuring approximately 90 inches in length with tassels to each end. The sash is accompanied by three autographed letters of provenance, one signed by Helen Ashby, stating "I Helen Ashby give this sash that belonged to Napoleon the 1st at St. Helena & that was given to me by my Grandfather General Anderson Gibsone to my son Colonel George Ashby Ashby" Together with a few Napoleon related items and a hardback edition of "Napoleon-emperor" by J.T. Herbert Baily.
