A hand-written letter in blue pen ink over one side of a single sheet of off-white paper (approx. 8x11 in), signed at the close by American Author 'Henry Miller'. Dated Berlin 16th May 1962. In part the letter reads 'Dear Doctor, A word to tell you that I have written to my wife in Big Sur, California, to send you those books we talked about the other day. It was an event for me to meet you. I am not at all certain that I will come through Paris when I return to America. But I am going to write to Beauford soon. Let us hope he will pull himself together quickly.' With two horizontal mailing folds and creasing to the right edge. Sold together with two typed translation letters in French and English.
