CHURCHILL, WINSTON

One of Britain's greatest leaders, Churchill (1874-1965) is synonymous with British victory in World War II. We have a typed signed letter written from Churchill to Desmond, probably concerning the proof for his six volume History of World War II. Signed at the conclusion in blue ink, 'Most sincerely, Winston Churchill.' One page, no letterhead, February 19, 1949. Measures 241x192mm. In very good condition, with intersecting mailing folds, a couple small wrinkles and some light mirroring of text and sentiment from premature folding.

In full: "Final of the first 108 pages now returned. I have ticked in red most of the corrections, but unless specifically contradicted by me they all go. I hope the rest will follow by Monday, anyhow you can go to press with this."
