Co-founder of Walt Disney Productions (1901-1966), Disney has helped bring animated classics such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and many other characters to life . We have a typed letter signed from Disney to Mr Wilkinson, author of 'The Monkeys', regarding the slow progress od bringing his novel to the screen. One page, personalised letterhead, February 15, 1962. Measures 266x184mm and is unframed. The piece has two light horizontal fold creases which affects small portions of the signature.
In full: 'Dear Mr Williamson - Thank you for your letter of January 20th. I'm sorry I haven't replied to it sooner, but I have been so busy that my correspondence has suffered. Because of a series of things that have come up we have had to postpone work on THE MONKEYS and, up to this time, up to this time we have not been able to get back to it. I really can't say now just when we will be able to resume work on the project. I wish I could give you more definite word, but right at the moment it is impossible to do. When we have anything to report we will be in touch with you . . . In the meantime, all my best to you and Mrs Williamson. Sincerely, Walt Disney.
