Terms & Conditions


Fraser's Retail

AUTHENTICITY
All items sold by Fraser's Retail bear genuine signatures (unless otherwise stated). Fraser's Autographs offer a lifetime guarantee of authenticity to the original purchaser on all items.

PAYMENT
will be accepted by American Express, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Visa, Cash, cheques, Postal Orders and I.M.O's made payable in sterling only. Please note that cheques take 10 working days to clear, and Eurocheques 28. No items will be released prior to payment.

SHIPPING
All items purchased will be dispatched within 5 working days of receipt of payment. However we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused in the mail.

MATERIAL HELD
Storage charges will be levied on Material that remain on our premises after the expiration of two months from the date of purchase or receipt. Such charges will be applicable to items that have been paid for but not collected or material left for valuation/authenticity (if valuation/authenticity has been completed). The storage charge will be 1% of the Invoice price or valuation, with a minimum charge of £10 per month. If the material is not claimed within twelve months of the date of purchase or receipt, Fraser’s shall be entitled to dispose of the material to defray accrued storage charges.

Every item is catalogued with the intention of accuracy and lots are in fine condition unless specified otherwise. Photocopies or additional scans of individual pieces will be available on request.

We make every effort to ensure that you are happy with your purchases and our service. However, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please let us know as soon as possible.

In compliance with UK law & the European Parliament and Council Directive 97/7/EC you have 7 days from receipt of your purchase to inform us if you feel that your purchase is not in accordance with the description of goods supplied on the web site. Upon receiving your returned item (in the same condition as it was at the time of sale) we will assess your claim fairly and take the appropriate action bearing in mind that your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us. In the first instance contact us by e-mail sales@frasersautographs.co.uk or telephoning 0207 836 9325.

If the applicable term of these conditions are not complied with in a timely manner by the purchaser, Fraser's may at their option cancel the sale and re-offer the item.

Fraser’s Auctions are run under the Stanley Gibbons Auctions ‘Terms and conditions’ with the addition of the details below.

Inspection of Lots
This facility is available on an appointment basis only. Appointments for viewing can be made on and up to the closing date of sale. Viewing is held at;

Auction Charges
Auctions listed on the web site can be subject to a buyer’s premium (percentage amount detailed in auction header and is plus VAT at the current rate) to ALL buyers. Additionally VAT will be charged on all lots labelled Taxable at the current rate, if sold to buyers resident in the E.E.C or collected from our premises by an overseas bidder.

Shipping
Lots will be sent to our mail room and despatch as soon as cleared funds are received. Charges are the same as Shipping for retail material (details above).

Payment
We are now able to accept payment for auction purchases by means of the following cards:
Debit Cards: Switch/Maestro, Delta, Solo etc. (no service charge)
Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, (service charge of 1.79%)
Charge Cards: Diners, Amex (service charge of 4.25%)
(Paypal available upon request (service charge of 5%))

The service charge (current charge by Card/service Company) will be added to the invoice after the total buyers premium, postage and packaging and all other charges. If you wish to pay by one of these cards, please complete the relevant section on registration. If you wish to use a charge card not listed, please ask for details.

We welcome payment in cash (£ Sterling only), but remind bidders that due to current legislation, we cannot accept cash payments for transactions in excess of the sterling equivalent of 15,000 euros.

Storage Charges
Storage charges will be levied on lots that remain on our premises after the expiration of two months from the date of sale. Such charges will be applicable to lots that have been paid for but not collected, and to lots that are unsold but which have not been re-offered. The storage charge will be 1% of the hammer price for purchased lots or 1% of the lower estimate for unsold lots with a minimum charge of £10 per month. If the material is not claimed within twelve months of the date of sale, Fraser’s Auctions shall be entitled to dispose of the material to defray accrued storage charges.
